My Saturday, (Kinda) Upstate

This past Saturday, I spent the day with two of my very best friends.  Slickbyrd and HemmingJay left the hustle and bustle of the Lower East Side of Manhattan for the much greener… well, everything, of lower upstate New York.

After tooling around town, we went on a hike through Black Rock Forrest.  After hiking the Grand Canyon and the San Angelo desert, a forrest forage was a real treat.

Texas in September

raod_sizedI finally had a few moments to process and batch the photos from my Texas trip at the beginning of the month.  For another perspective, read The Other Brother’s account.

The Other Brother now lives full time in Texas (although he does spend one week a month hanging at Studio 303 when he works in the city), so on the occasion of his 30th Birthday, JNM and I hitched our wagons flew down to celebrate with him.

I’ve been to Texas as a whole bunch, mostly to Dallas, for the day career.  This trip was going to take me a bit west, to a small city called San Angelo.  JNM and I met in Dallas and hopped aboard a puddle sand jumper and arrived at an airport that made TF Greene in Rhode Island, look like Kennedy.
